Community Living 101: Contribution

Circle of Multi-colored Paper People Cutouts

Many people are more familiar with a style of living that tends to isolate them from others. "I mind my business and you mind yours." But at some point, it does take contributions from all involved parties. This does not go against the principle of "privacy." There are many ways of contributing without giving up our individual “sense of space.” Some people are good at observation, and can remember details to a fault. Other people have ideas about how to settle disputes in ways that benefit everyone. And still others have the knack of seeing challenges from different perspectives.

  A. Pick up and properly dispose of the wrapper in the nearest garbage receptacle?

  B. Call Hallmark & Johnson to alert them that the janitorial staff is slacking on their duties?

  C. Leave it for someone else to take care of?

  D. What candy wrapper?

The weekday curfew for minors, age 12-16, is 10 p.m.-6 a.m., while the weekend schedule for this age range is 11 p.m.-6 a.m. Weekday curfew hours for minors under age 12 is 8:30 p.m-6 a.m., and weekends hours for this group are 9 p.m.-6 a.m.

Please keep your children safe by keeping them home during these times. If you are not out surpervising your underage children during these times, the police may be called and fines may be issued.
